BRIDGE MULTILINGUAL SOLUTIONS Inc. (Head Office: Shinjuku, Tokyo; CEO: Kenichi Yoshikawa) will conduct a program for foreign visitors to Japan to join and experience, in the ‘demonstration of tourist guidance utilizing generation AI’ to be held in Hirosaki City.
In preparation, we are inviting foreign visitors who can participate in the program.
If you are interested, please review the details below and contact us at the email address provided.

■ Objective

The purpose of this demonstration is to support tourist guidance in multiple languages, utilizing AI technology, thereby promoting smoother communication between foreign visitors to Japan and local guides. With the use of tourist guidance scripts (English) created by generation AI, we will observe and evaluate the way in which the local guides provide explanations to the foreign visitors.

■ Program Overview

  • Dates: Saturday, November 22 and Sunday, November 23, 2025
  • Meeting Point: In front of Hirosaki Municipal Tourist Center
  • Schedule:
10:00 – Gathering and explanation of demonstration

13:30–15:30 – Western-style building tour or Neputa Village experience
15:30–16:00 – Reflection, questionnaire, and closing

■ Experience Details

Participating foreign visitors will experience AI-generated guidance, feeling Hirosaki City’s history and culture. The guidance will be provided in English, with Japanese support available as needed. You can participate free of charge; however, transportation fees, etc. are at your expenses.

The experience will primarily be made on the following tourist spots:

Hirosaki Neputa Hall (Visit)
You can view a 10-meter-tall Neputa float up close and practice playing the drums. In addition, Neputa paintings and kite paintings created by the Tsugaru Nishikie Artists Association are exhibited.

Goldfish Neputa Painting (Hands-on Activity)
You paint a face on a paper Neputa float shaped like a goldfish and provide color, writing patterns with melted wax. You can create your own goldfish Neputa, learning traditional techniques. (Approx. 90 minutes)

Former To-o Gijuku Missionary House (Visit)
It is a western-style building built in the year Meiji 33 (1900) for foreign missionaries. Today it is open to the public as a café and exhibition space.

Aomori Bank Memorial Hall (Visit)
It was built with modern architecture in the Meiji era, designed by Sakichi Horie, who also designed writer Osamu Dazai’s birthplace “Shayokan”. Its brick-based construction is impressive.

Former Hirosaki City Library (Visit)
Built in the Renaissance style to commemorate Japan’s victory in the Russo-Japanese War, this building will make you feel the history of culture and education in the Meiji period.

Hirosaki Municipal Tourist Center (Visit)
It offers an exhibition of Tsugaru lacquerware, a traditional craft in Tsugaru, and folkcraft goods. Also, it is equipped with a tourist information center and a shop for souvenirs.

■ Questionnaire and Feedback

At the end of the demonstration, the participants will be asked to complete a short questionnaire about their impressions and the extent to which they are satisfied with their experience.
We appreciate your honest feedback, both positive and constructive, which will help improve development of AI-based tourism guide systems in the future.

■ Background

This project is conducted as part of the AI × Multilingual Tourism Support Project led by BRIDGE MULTILINGUAL SOLUTIONS, and will be an important demonstration toward constructing digitalization and multilingual assistance models for regional tourism in the future.
